Due to damage sustained in our auditorium from the recent storm, we will be relocating our Junior Beta Club Induction Ceremony to the Media Center.
To accommodate our inductees and guests in the new location, we will be holding two separate induction sessions:
• Elementary School (5th Grade) Inductees: 12:00 -12:30 pm
• Middle School (6th Grade) Inductees: 1:00-1:30 pm
Details for our visitors:
When arriving on campus, all ceremony guests should plan to park in the grassy lot located in front of the auditorium and any available parking spots in our parking lot. Those attending the first session will need to exit promptly to allow guests attending the Middle school ceremony (which begins at 1:00 pm) an opportunity to park in the same location.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we adjust our plans with a new location. While the location and times have slightly changed, we are excited to celebrate the accomplishments, leadership, character, and academic excellence of our newest Junior Beta members.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community. We look forward to recognizing these deserving inductees and sharing this special milestone with their families.
Best,
Mr. Pape and Mrs. Hendricks

Good Afternoon,
Tomorrow, Wednesday October21st, Santa Rosa County District Schools is partnering with Convoy of Hope and will have a truck filled with disaster relief supplies parked in the front parking lot of Jay Elementary School at 1:00pm. They will be handing out food, boxed meals, diapers, wipes and other items to families still recovering from the hurricane. This will be first come, first served, while supplies last. Please be mindful that our car rider line begins at 2:14 pm and do not block traffic. Thank you and have a great day.
Parents, we're excited to share that our Book Character Costume Parade is still on for Friday, October 30th at 1:00 PM on the PE track!
Help your child bring a favorite book character to life and join us as our Royal Cubs parade around the track. Whether the costume is homemade, borrowed, or store-bought, the real magic is celebrating great books, creativity, and imagination!
Students who need help choosing a book or character are welcome to stop by the library. We'd love to help them find the perfect story-inspired idea.
We know many of our families are still recovering from the recent storm, and we appreciate all you are doing. This parade is one of our students' favorite traditions, and we want everyone to have the opportunity to participate. Remember, costumes can be simple, and we're happy to help however we can.
🦁 A friendly reminder: Please keep costumes fun and school-appropriate. No scary costumes, as our littlest Royal Cubs will be joining the parade, and we want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone!
We can't wait to see our favorite book characters come to life! 📚✨💙🦁

**We know that we will most likely have more car riders than usual these first few days back and wanted to send out a few reminders.
Please pay close attention to these instructions for CAR RIDERS!!!
Drop Off:
-Student drop-off begins at 7:20. Please keep your children in your car until then.
-There is only one line for morning drop-off. Even if you need to park, please make sure you go in the same direction as the car rider line.
-Parents need to stay in their car.
-The first car pulls up to Coach Jordan at the main crosswalk. Please do not leave gaps in the line.
-Please make sure your child is ready to get out of the car.
-Once traffic stops and you pull up next to the COVERED WALKWAY, your child needs to get out. Do not wait until you pull all the way up to the front of the line. This holds up the entire car line. They do not need to wait for a teacher to open the door. Teachers are there to help with younger students as needed.
-students need to exit on the passenger side only.
-DO NOT GO AROUND CARS. Stay in the line.
Pick Up:
-There are two lanes for pick-up. However, the second lane is not open until 2:10 so that traffic can still flow through the parking lot.
-Please have your child's number visible until after your child gets into your vehicle.
-The first car pulls up to Coach Jordan at the main crosswalk. Please do not leave any gaps in the line.
-Once it is safe to start moving, we will release you. DO NOT ROLL FORWARD AT ALL (EVEN TO CLOSE A GAP) UNTIL WE RELEASE YOU.
-DO NOT SWITCH LANES, even if traffic is flowing faster in the other lane.
-If we are holding one or both lanes, it is because students are still walking to cars.
Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

We are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.
Please do not worry if you have already uploaded an absentee note. We will provide additional information as soon as access is restored.
